Summer Strings

The fun and unique Strings Camp is a week long day camp for violin, viola, cello and bass students entering 7th and 8th grade. The camp will be conducted by exemplary specialists in middle school orchestral music. The program includes sectionals, technique classes, and orchestra rehearsals. The camp culminates with a student performance on Friday evening. Summer Strings Camp provides students with the opportunity to maintain and improve their playing skills and musical knowledge during the summer.

Seventh & Eighth Grade Strings Camp Details

Camp Director: Mrs. Alexandra Jackson, Hildebrandt Intermediate

Dates: Monday, July 16 – Friday, July 20, 2018

Five days of instruction: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Location: Klein Collins High School, 20811 Ella Blvd., Spring 77388

Orchestra rehearsal – there will be two levels of orchestras

Sectionals for each instrument (violin 1, violin 2, viola, cello, bass)

Technique classes for every instrument at all levels

Two electives, a recreation period and a lunch

Student performance: Friday evening in the Klein Collins Auditorium

Each camper recieves a Strings Camp T-Shirt

Cost: $200 per child for the week
