Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes is the signature fundraising walk of the American Diabetes Association (ADA). More than 150,000 participants from over 130 walk events across the country came together last year to raise over $20 million.

Step Out is the only walk/run event in the Houston-area that supports ALL types of diabtes. The event takes place annually in downtown Houston and The Woodlands and offers a 5K run, 3K walk and activities for all ages. Both the 5K and 3K are non-competitive and all fitness levels are welcome. Pets and strollers are welcome on the 3K route. We invite all participants to stick around after completing their run or walk to take advantage of our Health & Fitness Festival. In addition to valuable health screenings and information, runners and walkers will be entertained by music, games, crafts and much more!

The funds raised from Step Out help aid in funding critical diabetes research, education, advocacy and local programs, including ADA’s annual Camp Rainbow for children living with diabetes.

Our mission is to cure and prevent diabetes and improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.

Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes 2012 in The Woodlands is presented by our friends at Tomball Regional Medical Center.
