2012 Houston Turkey Trot Turkey Calling Contest

Contestants are encouraged to “strut their stuff” for No. 1 Turkey Caller bragging rights. Open to all ages, contestants will be judged on their turkey calls and strutting ability. Prizes will be awarded for each of three categories: children (up to age 12); teens (13-17 years old); adults (18 and up); group contestants. Prizes include family memberships to the top finisher in each category and family 4 packs of Zoo tickets to second and third place finishers as well as prize packs from presenting sponsor, TXU Energy. A new element included this year – local media figures vie for the title of “Houston Media’s Top Turkey.” Spectators can watch their favorite, TV, print, and online and radio personalities gobble, cluck, yelp and cackle their way to fame!
