For over 30 years, Metropolitan Publishing has been an industry leader in local directory advertising. Proudly serving the communities in the Northwest Houston area, Metropolitan offers full-service targeted advertising plans that include print and online marketing.

Metropolitan Directories, available in print and online, have gained an award-winning reputation for being “More Than Just A Phone Book.” They are extensive community resource guides for everything in the local area, containing useful information on businesses, schools, travel, shopping, events, attractions and public services just to name a few.

The success of Metropolitan Publishing Company is due in large part to the hard work, dedication and foresight of Art and Vickie Brown. Years ago, they recognized that local businesses, both large and small, were in need of affordable targeted advertising solutions, as well as community residents needed a useful, up-to-date informational directory, and that is the mission has been successfully accomplished year after year. In the beginning, Art and Vickie alone organized all aspects of the publishing including sales, production and distribution. Today, Metropolitan has grown into an advertising company that serves three markets across Northwest Houston, with annual distribution of over 275,000 telephone directories and new online directories that reach over 1 million residents.

With the continued leadership and vision of Britt Heald and Jenny Young, Art and Vickie’s daughters, Metropolitan Publishing Company still maintains the timeless principles of serving the best interests of our customers, striving to continually develop innovative products and aspiring to improve the quality of life for our customers, users and staff members.
